PROGRESS PROPERTY SERVICES launches its new central heating and boiler healthcare service this week.
As temperatures plummet across the region, local homeowners can now benefit from a new heating breakdown and maintenance contract that cares for their boiler from less than 33p per day.
Leyland-based Progress Property Services, a division of Progress Housing Group, has launched its Progress Plus service in demand to domestic customers wanting a locally-managed service that provides reputable, qualified and reliable engineers.
The division, which is not-for-profit and has a turnover of over £10 million, has a specialist team of Corgi registered engineers currently looking after 10,000 heating systems in rented homes across Lancashire. The team maintains over 4,500 boilers in rented properties in South Ribble alone.
Now private homeowners can benefit from the service and ensure that their heating system is in tip-top condition, avoiding the inconvenience and unplanned expense of a heating breakdown.
The contract also includes an annual safety check as standard; a potentially life saving measure against faulty gas systems. Currently landlords are legally obliged to undertake annual gas servicing and safety checks but private homeowners are not, often leaving them and their families exposed to danger.
Says Director of Progress Property Services, Gary Sanderson:
'People are more aware than ever of the dangers of a faulty boiler, and the distressing consequences of a breakdown, particularly in the winter period.
'Unfortunately, boilers tend to break at the worse times, such as over the festive period. Trying to find a reputable plumber at short notice can be a nightmare as can funding an unplanned repair.
'We are really pleased to be able to extend our service to private home owners and increase the number of safe and functioning heating systems throughout Central Lancashire.
'We hope by pricing the service competitively that we can encourage as many people as possible to protect their homes and families against the potentially devastating consequences of heating failure'.
