100 Years Young!

100-year-old Harold Uttley celebrated his birthday in style at a party held in his honour on Friday 14th December.

The centenarian enjoyed a festive buffet and entertainment organised by New Progress staff at the Bolton Croft sheltered scheme in Leyland.

The Mayor of South Ribble and MP David Borrows also joined friends and family at the party to mark the momentous occasion.

Harold, who married his third wife at 86, says the secret of a long life to not taking things too seriously and never letting age get in the way of happiness.

Said Anne Thompson, scheme manager at Bolton Croft: 'We are all very proud of Harold, he's a lovely man.'
